Our history

Founded in December 1965 by José Miquel Candela, the company is dedicated to the manufacture and marketing of all types of wafers for the nougat, marzipan, pastry and general confectionery industry.

In 2025, we celebrate 60 years, with the same hope and satisfaction of the past and of the objectives achieved.

As successors, we have continued the work of our founder, providing the company with cutting-edge technology for continuous wafer manufacturing and introducing rigorous in‑line processes and quality controls achieving a product with unique quality and durability.

What makes us different?

Continuous wafer manufacturing

Our wafers are produced at our facilities using the sector’s most advanced drying processes, continuous wafer manufacturing. We process the wafer through rollers which reach optimal temperatures to guarantee the safety of our products.

All our processes are in constant development with the aim of improving our working methods, creating a product with unrivalled durability and flexibility. Most of our customers are artisans and we understand that they need wafers with these characteristics to allow them to work as efficiently as possible.

High-quality raw materials

In addition to extreme care during the process, the selection of raw materials is our day-to-day priority to ensure our product is of the highest quality. We compare potato starch across Europe to find the quality we are looking for in a product that we have been making for more than three generations.

Our experience has provided us with the necessary expertise to guarantee the selection of the best ingredients in our wafers.
